Before ten years distance education was not considered a good means to educate because 'taking a degree' is not the objective of the student. The main basis is the real knowledge of the class that we get in the case of regular classes. But with the advancement of science — electronic media — now electronic devices, the situation has been changed. TV. Correspondence education can be better understood through educational programs. “Can distance education be a better option for the current education system? Why not? "It has already got that status. Many universities like IGNOU, Kota Open University, All India Management Association (AIMA) etc. provide only teaching facilities through distance education. Millions of students are getting education through distance education. Soon school education may follow this path in the future. Population is growing rapidly, education is considered necessary for life to maintain the standard and status of a happy person. Trends in education reach everyone, the distance education system is gaining popularity day by day. Now distance learning has been a popular way of learning not only for formal courses but also for professional courses. MBA, MCA, CA, ICWA, BCA, and many other professional courses are available through distance learning, these days. However, the utility of this new mode has been accepted by modern students without hesitation. TV in relation to distance education The contribution of the programs is commendable.

These are all possibilities. Its growing popularity itself tells the truth. But a trend is dangerous in the system. Almost all institutes conducting such courses are only interested in conducting examinations and conferring degrees. This is not a good trend. Improvements should be made in this regard.

Distance learning is required in a large country like India. Many universities have understood this fact. This is the reason that many reputed universities and institutes have separate directorates, which apart from their regular courses, conduct courses through distance education. This is reason enough to understand their importance.

This is a boon for those candidates who really want to pursue their education but have no time to attend regular classes. Distance education gives them opportunities for this. This is an effective option for continuing education.

Some say that it is somehow just a system for obtaining degrees. How can it be an alternative to the formal education system? Interaction between teachers and students, classroom experiences etc. has its own role in the system. Distance education cannot fulfill these needs or experiences. Education does not only mean degrees; It is much more than that. TV before the source of education. The program may be somewhat correct. But presently this correspondence method has taken a unique place.

Electronic media, new electronic equipment, teleconferencing facility etc. have provided ample opportunity for distance education to emerge as a strong alternative especially in India. But a lot of work is still being done in this area.

There is no doubt, the distance education system has proved its capabilities. This is a great hope for students who do not take seats in regular courses in college. In these terms, it is a strong alternative to the current education system. But it also has several limitations. Before making it an alternative education system, we should be aware of these.
